“Few souls understand what God would accomplish in them if they were to abandon themselves unreservedly to Him and if they were to allow His grace to mold them accordingly.” — St. Ignatius Loyola
This week at Chosen we learned about how Jesus’ death on the cross freed us from sin and death. We also learned that grace is a free gift from God which makes it easier to participate in His love and to be renewed by the Holy Spirit. Finally, we spoke about two key ways we can avail ourselves of God’s gift of grace – prayer, especially Holy Mass, which is the highest form of prayer and receiving the Sacraments of the Church. We also had fun running a relay race and playing dodgeball!
Grade 7 and 8 students, please join us this week when we will learn about our obligation to work together to build a good and just society which upholds the dignity of every human life. New members are always welcome! Next meeting Tuesday, February 27th 7-9pm in St Mary’s School.
High school students our next meeting will take place on Friday, March 9th when we will visit the Kawartha Lakes Pregnancy Centre. More details to follow.
