This week at Chosen we learned about the gift of our Faith! We learned that faith, while a gift, is also a personal act based in love and trust in God. God does not force us to believe, it is our choice! He loves us and desires for us to know Him and our response to His love is faith! Having faith will transform the way we live, the way we think, and the way we treat others. We learned that the truths of our Faith come to us through the Church and we make a profession of our Faith every Sunday at Holy Mass when we recite the Apostles or Nicene Creed. We should thank Almighty God for the great gift of our Faith and we should pray that He will increase it in us and in those we love! We also played games, enjoyed some homemade brownies and spent time in prayer together in the church. Gr 7/8 students are welcome to join at any time. Weekly meetings take place on Tuesdays from 7-9pm at St Mary’s School. Bring your friends and join us!
On Friday evening at Ora et Labora we had the opportunity to get to know Father Stephen a little better as he shared the story of his journey to the Priesthood. We learned that seminary formation/training is complex and multi-faceted, with many years of study and pastoral work involved. Fr. Stephen shared details of his vocation story as well as pictures from his time in seminary. We also had fun playing a game of basketball and enjoyed pizza. High school students, please join us for our next meeting Friday October 26th 7pm St Mary’s School. New members are always welcome!
