“O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” We’ve now entered into May, the month that for centuries the Church has set aside to honour Our Lady. And so, this past week at our CHOSEN retreat and at our meeting, we joined with the Church in showing our love to Mary our Mother by spending time learning more about her! We watched a short video about her, learned about some of her amazing apparitions, and made a beautiful Miraculous Medal! We also prepared to celebrate Mother’s Day by making a card for our Mothers and Grandmothers which contained a Spiritual Bouquet of prayers including Our Lady’s own prayer – the Holy Rosary. In addition, we played some fun activities in the gymnasium! Grade 7 and 8 students, please join us next Tuesday, May 15th. 7-9pm, St Mary’s School. New members are always welcome!
On Thursday May 10th we travelled to Ottawa to attend the annual March for Life! More details will follow regarding our experiences and learnings in Ottawa, and please watch for photos on our Facebook page. Our gratitude goes out to all of you who made this important trip possible for us! We sincerely appreciate your generosity!
