Given our current health situation please review the recent change in schedule for your child’s First Reconciliation and First Communion, or Confirmation:
First Reconciliation and First Communion:
First Reconciliation for all candidates will be held at the Church, Saturday May 1st at 11am., there will be a tour of the church and rehearsal.
First Communion: In order to accommodate the attendance of family members, your child’s First Communion can be celebrated throughout the month of May, up to the first Sunday in June, during Weekend Liturgy Masses (Saturday 5 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.). Only three candidates and their family members to a total of 10 people can be accommodated. Please call the rectory to book your date and time.
Confirmation:
Confirmation will be celebrated May 23rd 2021:
– 1 p.m. Students of St. Dominic’s maximum 8 people per family
– 3 p.m. Students of St. John Paul, St. Mary’s, and Public Schools, Maximum 10 people per family
Confirmation candidates, two items to remember please:
1) Please return your completed mass journals to the rectory office or to any of the priests after Sunday mass. Your journals are due on or before May 14th at 11 a.m. Remember these journals are compulsory to obtain your Sacrament!
2) Saint Project information can be obtained from the Diocese website Sacrament of Confirmation during COVID-19 – Roman Catholic Diocese of Peterborough (peterboroughdiocese.org) https://www.peterboroughdiocese.org/en/life-and-faith/sacrament-of-confirmation-during-covid-19.aspx Please complete the “My Saint Project” on page 4.
On the day of your Confirmation bring a 5×7 sheet of paper displaying the Saint’s name.
