The Jubilee Year is a time-honoured tradition within the Church, marking a period of renewal, forgiveness, and restoration. It encourages us to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and look toward the future with hope. As we approach the Jubilee of 2025, we are reminded of Christ’s enduring significance in history and our lives.
JUBILEE PILGRIMAGE PASSPORT & PAMPHLET In celebration of the Jubilee Year of Hope, the Diocese has prepared some resources. At the back of the church you can find the: -> Jubilee Year Passport: to record your visits to the Jubilee Churches
-> Jubilee Year Booklet: calendar of events, information on indulgences and devotions

JUBILEE EVENT – 24 HOUR ADORATION At the request of the Bishop, Friday March 7th, we will have a 24 hour Adoration at St. Mary’s Church as part of the Year of the Jubilee of Hope. The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed during the Masses during the 24 hour period. Eucharistic Adoration is a Catholic devotion dating back to the early days of the Church. It involves placing the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance for public veneration, allowing people to come and pray in the presence of Jesus Christ. Adoration will begin on Friday March 7 at 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon Saturday March 8. At that time, we close the adoration with benediction. There are sign up sheets at the back of the church. We need a minimum of 2 people in the church at all times. We ask that men in particular sign up for the hours through the night.
