The poor among us in the world are: the 90% of farmers who produce crops for local sale and are stifled rather than assisted by free trade laws, children who have lost their parents to AIDS, suicide in the face of hopeless economics, or migration in a desperate bid for work, the women and men who are working in factories or farms under harsh and dangerous conditions.
