CWL World Day of Prayer Service

Our Catholic Women’s League in Lindsay, Ontario hosted the World Day of Prayer service March 1st with the theme “Come, Everything is Ready”. A warm welcome was extended to the 115 attendees. Eight other denominational churches participated. Committee members processed to our focus table, carrying dishes of milk, honey, bread, grapes and olives for our Agape Feast. Our choir led the hymns, prayers were offered, and stories of Slovenian women were told. Our knowledge of the country of Slovenia and the women’s hardships was increased with Donna Moore, Peterborough Diocesan Spiritual Development Chair as guest speaker. Refreshments and social time followed, with discussions about invitations and rejections. Pictured are Lillian O’Connell, Glenda Klein and Donna Moore
