Society of St. Vincent de Paul Week 35 – 2019


Society of St. Vincent de Paul members are working at the Lindsay Community Food Market in collaboration with the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. To support this initiative, we are donating support cards for the purchase of certain consumable items and donating canned and packaged foods. We continue to visit people in their homes for other needs such as utilities, dental, glasses and furniture.

Next Meeting: All SSVP members and prospective members are invited to a meeting and installation of new executive at Pizza Hut on Thurs. Sept. 5 at 11:15 am. Lunch will follow about 12:30 pm. Please respond to ssvplindsay@gmail.com or 705-340-3001 by Aug. 31 if you plan to attend.

1st Sunday of Month: 7 & 8 Sept. monetary collection at doors
3rd Sunday of Month: collection of food items, esp. shampoo, boxed laundry detergent, toilet paper

Free Lunch Program: We are just completing our participation (164 hours) in the preparation and delivery of free lunches for elementary school children, organized jointly by the Salvation Army and Kawartha Lakes Food Source.
