Job Posting For Part-Time Receptionist/ Admin Clerk

The parish of St. Mary’s (Lindsay) has an opening for admin assistant. This position will begin as a 3 day a week (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) with increased hours as additional duties are added as training progress, with the goal of a full-time position to replace current Office Manager.

The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for all administrative and clerical services for the parish. This includes greeting visitors in person or by telephone, processing mail, providing these services effectively and efficiently will ensure administrative functions are completed precisely and are accurately maintained.

  • Have a post-secondary diploma in business administration (preferred).
  • Have 3 years’ experience working in an office admin position (preferred).
  • Have a working knowledge of computers specifically in Microsoft Office including word and excel.
  • Have a working knowledge of internet including emails, social media etc.
  • Have a basic knowledge of the Catholic Church and diocesan/parish operations.
  • Have an aptitude for detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced skills in time management and able to work unsupervised.
  • Provide a recent (within six months) police check for the vulnerable sector.
