Development and Peace now joins the Holy Father in reminding us that our witness is integral to our faith.
In his pastoral letter announcing the Year of faith, he recalls for us the words of St. James, “If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill,’ and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead” James 2:15-17.
Christ our Light, inspire us to stand in witness of our faith, and bring about a change in our world, so that we may all have enough to eat.
