A Christmas Letter

Christmas LetterDear Parishioners,

We, the priests of St Mary’s, wish that you all be blessed with a happy and holy Christmas this year. As we celebrate this great Solemnity of Christ’s birth, may its recollection bring you much peace and hope. Two thousand years ago the Holy Family found shelter with no one except the animals in a cold dark stable. May they, this year and every year henceforth, always be welcomed into our homes and hearts.

Christ came to earth bringing an extraordinary message, a message of love, hope, joy and peace. He has commanded us to Love God, above all things, and our neighbour as ourselves. Let us, therefore, turn away from sin and turn to God putting him first in our lives and may we also be reconciled to one another in the love of Christ.

| would like to thank each and every one of you for your support of our parish. A special thanks to all the volunteers who have worked so hard to care for our parish, we are very grateful. To our staff and the devoted members of the various ministries in our parish and especially to those few who work quietly, behind the scenes all the time to make our parish vibrant, thank you so very much, God knows all the good you do. Know that we are very grateful and we remember you all in the Masses we offer to God, in our daily prayers and sacrifices. We pray that God bless you all with His mercy and grace.

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light” (Isa. 9:1). Christ is the light by which we walk the way of life, the light by which we are able to discern good from evil. Always look to Him with faith, hope and charity. Guide your friends and your family toward Him. In Him we hope. In Him we have our salvation.

May God bless you and your families this Christmas with Peace, Joy and Love.
