A few words about the Blessed Virgin Mary’s feast of the Annunciation, new Covid regulations, Ukraine and Russia. We will have a change in daily Mass schedules to celebrate the feast of the Annunciation in a great way, Thursday, Mass will be at 5:30 PM and Friday there will be an additional Mass at 5:30 PM for the Annunciation, the IVE foundational day, after which any soul who finished the Marian consecration prayers can solemnly write out their consecration and pray it with the parish. After the Annunciation Mass we will also join with Pope Francis consecrating Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
As you may know the Covid regulations have been eased in the province including Churches, so people are no longer required to wear masks starting March 21st. I know some people still feel uncomfortable with this situation. I pray the Holy Spirit will eventually give you confidence to return to receive Jesus in the Eucharist, trusting the Lord will take of you in His providence for your life.
Bishop Miehm asked us to join with him in novena prayers leading to Pope Francis’ consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The parish already started this novena. I would encourage to also donate to those in need in Ukraine through DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE, and KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS as listed in the bulletin.
