Be not afraid! These were the words that Jesus said to the apostles after the resurrection and was a frequent saying of St. John Paul II during his pontificate. Faithful souls should recall this proclamation of Jesus in this time and live it.
I share with you that I recently enjoyed some down hill and cross country skiing. When I get occasion I like to get out hiking, biking, and camping, just at St. John Paul II did. Our IVE religious family often enters into activities like these with youth. I tell you that the priesthood and religious life is a “great adventure” in the Lord. It is part of our vow “never to be elusive to the missionary endeavor.”
