The Victoria County Historical Society was recently the recipient of funding from the New Horizons for Seniors Program that will facilitate the creation of an oral history project called Precious Memories: Our Seniors Speak.
A project that will focus on collecting stories that will increase our understanding of the history of our community/communities and the lives of its citizens.
St. Mary’s and other congregations across the Kawartha Lakes have been asked to partner with this important work over the next five months and we ask if you or anyone you might know would be interested in participating by sharing their stories, to leave a name and contact information at the Church Office 705 324-4828 and we will contact you with more details.
Precious Memories: Our Seniors Speak represents the first comprehensive oral history project in this community in over 40 years.
