Our parish youth groups have taken a break for the summer however we will still have opportunities to stay connected through the following upcoming summer events…
Steubenville Toronto Conference A small group of young ladies will be travelling to the UOIT campus in Oshawa on July 13-15th to attend this event. This conference is the largest Catholic Youth conference in Canada hosted by the Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. With some of the best Catholic speakers and musicians in North America, it provides a week-end full of opportunities for young people to learn, meet new friends, and worship and encounter Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Please pray for these committed young ladies as they take this positive step in deepening their faith!
K of C Bike Ride and BBQ Youth are invited to participate in this year’s bike ride which will take place Saturday Aug 11th from the church parking lot. Registration forms are available for youth who wish to participate. Please call or email Teresa at youth@stmaryslindsay.ca.
Walking Pilgrimage to Martyrs’ Shrine “Life with Christ is a wonderful adventure.” Young people entering Gr 7 in September up and including those in their last year of university are invited to join us for this 125km walk which will depart from the church on Sun Aug 12th returning Sat Aug 18th. This journey is both a joyful adventure and a spiritual pilgrimage – an opportunity for fun, fellowship and prayer as we test our endurance and take in the beauty and wonder of God’s creation! Summer Baseball With enough interest, we hope to begin a weekly game of baseball on Monday evenings beginning July 9th. Those interested in joining in to play (or even just to spectate) please contact Teresa by email at youth@stmaryslindsay.ca for further details.
