YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRIES
At St. Mary’s we have a number of programs for the youth and young adults of the parish. As well as meeting on a regular basis we have special events and activities like Steubenville, Pilgrimages to the Martyrs’ Shrine, and More! New members are always welcome to join us and participate in the life of the parish! For more information please contact the Youth director Corbin Blanchard at (705) 324-4828 or at Youth@stmaryslindsay.ca.
Edge is a youth ministry program designed to help the youth in Grade 6-8 learn more about their Catholic faith and to grow in their personal relationship with Christ. It is a great place to get answers to unanswered questions, meet Catholic role models in the Core leaders, and develop strong friendships with other Catholic youth in the community before entering into high school.
EDGE currently meets every Wednesday night from 6-8pm in the St. Mary’s Elementary School Gym.
Lifeteen is our high school program. It challenges the teens to live out their faith in their everyday life and gives them tools to continuously grow in their relationship with others and the Lord. At our weekly meetings, we learn and discuss different aspects of what it means to be Catholic, we spend time playing games, doing activities, hearing talks, watching videos, sharing good food and spending time in prayer.
Lifeteen meets every Tuesday from 6-8:30pm in St. Mary’s Elementary School Gym.
Our young adults group meets bi-weekly and is a great place to meet other young men and women who are interested in learning and going deeper into what it means to be Catholic. We meet together bi-weekly on Thursday night at the rectory. This program offers each of us an opportunity to come together and discuss our faith and support each other to grow in holiness and our relationship with the Lord.
Young Adults meet every second Thursday from 7-9pm at the Rectory.
FLEMING COLLEGE CATHOLICS
Fleming College Catholics is our campus out reach program. We offer soup every other Thursday at 12-1pm on campus. We use this as an opportunity to invite the local college students to join into the life of the parish and to join us for the young adults group. It is a beautiful opportunity to show that young Catholics are real and involved in the local parish and the doors are always open to whoever wishes to join us. We are hoping to run Theology on tap or some other form of faith studies on campus in the new year!
