Help is always needed for setting up on Friday June 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Anyone able to help, please just show up at St. Mary’s School Gym. Clean-up help is also needed after the 11:00 a.m. mass on Sunday.

Our sale turns unneeded items into cash for our church projects and charities.

CWL Retreat
The annual CWL retreat will be held on Wednesday May 2 from 9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Everyone is welcome. There is no admission fee. Call Glenda at 340-5357 or Marnie at 324-0225 to register before April 30.

CWL Leadership Course

Veseys Spring Bulb Fundraiser

You are certainly welcome to attend any or all of them but you should realize that sometimes in the winter months a facility will cancel a Mass on very short notice because of outbreaks of flu or other illnesses.

We are always looking for help to assist at these Masses to help Nursing Home residents be brought down from their rooms to the Mass itself.

Please join us at 10:00 am at the Parish Library for a Prayer Service, a short business meeting and a fund raising coffee party with proceeds going to the Alzheimer Society. A light lunch will be provided. All ladies of the parish are most welcome to attend.

St. Mary’s World Youth Day Pilgrims are collecting beer, wine, and liquor bottles again to help offset the cost of attending the next World Youth Day to see the Pope in Madrid, Spain in 2011.  Rebel’s for Christ Youth will be going door-to-door collection bottles Sunday May 16th from 12-3pm.  Parishioners are also encouraged to drop  their bottles off on the porch of the rectory anytime.  All of the bottles will be returned for a refund at the local beer store and the funds raised will be set aside for St. Mary’s WYD pilgrims who participated in the bottle collection and are attending WYD.

This is an amazing prolife demonstration in front of the parliament buildings with more than 12 thousand people.

There will be live music, informed speakers, mass, a march through downtown Ottawa, and coach bus there and back.

All for only $20! This is a great way to show our support for the prolife movement and the end of abortion.
