The Bishop’s of Canada endorse the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace. Each Lent, in co-operation with other churches, they continue to bring the needs of the Third World before the people of our country and encourage all to respond to God’s generosity by supporting the works of D & P.

On April 9/10 a collection is taken up for developing countries. Christians are urged to share their goods with others and thus express in a concrete way their desire to come closer to God and all God’s children as a result of their Lenten efforts. Please use the blue envelope in your box or the ones in the pews. Please be as generous as you can. No member of the human family should be forgotten this Lent, here or at home abroad

Development & Peace – Movie & Desert

Please note this revised date. It’s now on Sunday afternoon 14 March at 2pm. when Development and Peace will have their Dessert and a movie in St. Mary’s School Gym.

Bring your favourite dessert and watch an eye-opening expose of our modern food industry.

It’s a must to see. It is hosted by Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace. Free will offering.

On the Fifth Sunday of Lent there will be the collection for Development and Peace or other charities as you may wish.
