Notice of Motion: It has been recommended by the executive that St. Mary’s membership fees be increased from $20.00 to $25.00 with the 2012 membership.

Our June Communion Luncheon will be held on June 13, 2010 at Joel’s Restaurant on Cambridge St. Please meet there at 12:30 (or following the 11:00 am Mass).

Enjoy a delicious lunch, companionship and a few laughs. Membership pins will be given out at this time. Please expect a phone call with additional information.

Jaunuary 25th at 7 p.m. – St. Mary’s SSVP to host Peterborough Particular Council meeting, St. Joseph’s Room.

This Sunday, Nov. 29th, from 11:30am-1pm in St. Mary’s School Auditorium the Youth of St. Mary’s will be waiting tables for the CWL Harvest Luncheon and Tea.  The CWL has generously offered to make a donation to help send St. Mary’s Youth to World Youth Day 2011 to see the Pope in Madrid Spain!

Please come out and support the CWL and St. Mary’s Youth after the 11 am mass this Sunday Nov. 29th.  There will be tea, fresh baked goods, a silent auction, raffle tickets, and more!

Thank you to all of the parishioners who attended the pancake brunch to support our youth in their goal to attend the next World Youth Day in Spain.  Also, thank you to those parishioners who volunteered their time in the kitchen and elsewhere to help make this event a success.  Through your generous contribution $688 was raised after expenses were paid for.  This means that almost $70 was raised for each of the 11 youth that attended the brunch.  The cost to attend World Youth Day in Madrid Spain in 2011 with the Peterborough Diocese is approximately $3000 per youth.  Thank you again and we promise that next time we will have so many sausages we won’t know what to do with them!

Our next fundraising event is planned for Sunday, Nov. 29th in St. Mary’s School Auditorium after the 11 am mass.  St. Mary’s Youth will be serving tables at the CWL Harvest Luncheon and Tea and the CWL has agreed to make a generous donation for this service.  Please come and support the CWL and the youth of the parish by attending this event.

The Installation Ceremony on September 13th for new members was well received at Mass. At the Thank You Luncheon hosted by SVDP for the parish, 25 parish members enjoyed the delicious lunch! The room had several tables full of information about SVDP and their service to the community of Lindsay. The information will be on display again at the next coffee Sunday.

The St. Anne’s Conference will have a 10 a.m. Mass (Father Bill Moloney) with a guest speaker to talk about “The Voice of the Poor”, with a Pot Luck luncheon to follow.
