A Pairsh and Youth Winter Pilgrimage to one of the Holiest places in Canada!
March 16 is the actual day that St. Jean de Brebeuf and St. Gabriel Lalemant were tortured and killed for the faith. We are visiting the site, St. Ignace, where they were martyred two miles south of the Martyrs’ Shrine in Midland as well as Martyr Shrine and other sites including the site of the first mass in Ontario. The Rebels for Christ youth group here at St. Mary’s is joining a pilgrimage of young people from Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy and Wayside Academy to have an outdoor mass, way of the cross, and a pilgrimage together to the holy sites in the area. A bus will leave St. Mary’s Church at 9am and return that night at 8pm. Please pack a lunch as we’ll be eating lunch at the shrine. We will be stopping at Montana’s restaurant in Orillia for dinner on our return to St. Mary’s. See the itinerary below for more details. The cost of the trip is only $20! This is an opportunity to visit one of the holiest places in Canada where many miracles have taken place, so please call Brad at the rectory (705 324-4828) or email youth@stmaryslindsay.ca to reserve a seat on the bus today!
