CWL Retreat
The annual CWL retreat will be held on Wednesday May 2 from 9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Everyone is welcome. There is no admission fee. Call Glenda at 340-5357 or Marnie at 324-0225 to register before April 30.

CWL Leadership Course
A six-week leadership course will be offered on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the chapel from May 9 to June 13. Call Glenda Klein at 340-5357 or Anne McKinnon at 324-7039 for further information.

Veseys Spring Bulb Fundraiser

The members of the CWL will be taking prepaid orders for Spring Bulbs until April 15. Start planning your flower gardens now. Vesey’s guarantees their produce.

Coloured posters can be viewed on the bulletin boards at the church.

Contact Adele Hopkins or any CWL member to place an order. Prepaid orders can also be left at the rectory.

The CWL would like to invite its members and other interested ladies of the parish to a wine and cheese party at our General Meeting on Thursday, September 22, 2011.

We will begin with Mass at 7:00 PM followed by wine and cheese and a short business meeting. Looking forward to seeing you there.

CWL Perennial Flower Bulbs Fundraiser.

Throughout September, our CWL will be taking prepaid orders for Flower Bulbs from Veseys at the main entrance to the church before and after weekend Masses.

A variety of flowers are available for fall planting to be enjoyed every spring for years to come. Coloured brochures are displayed on the entrance bulletin boards.

We are now receiving many calls for warm clothing for the children. If anyone has winter snowsuites or other warm clothing ,boots & shoes they wish to donate to SSVP , please call the Parish and SSVP will pick up the clothing left at the Rectory.

There are notices on the bulletin boards of St.Mary’s Church to ask the members of St.Mary’s if they would again sponsor families this Christmas. The forms to be returned to SSVP via the Rectory or collection baskets used at the Masses.

On October 22nd all the members of SSVP are asked to come to the St. Mary’s church’s chapel at 4pm for a photo-shoot.

The next meeting for SSVP will be on November 24th at 1pm in the chapel.

Please check the bulletin boards of the Church for information regarding the Adopt-A-Family Program. The forms will be available soon for those of the Parish who wish to sponsor a needy family.

A reminder that on October 17th volunteers will be going door to door in Lindsay to collect food. Please place your donation of food in a bag placed outside your door by 9 am on Saturday. Anyone wishing to help please come to the CHURCH OF THE LATTER DAY SAINTS by 8:30 am to receive instructions. Thank for your support in feeding the less fortunate of our community. Thank you!
