NEWS Catholic Social Teaching teaches us that we must protect the most vulnerable among us – the elderly, those with disabilities and the unborn. Each abortion costs approximately $1,000. It costs Ontario taxpayers $51,000,000.00 per year. We hope to defund abortion and promote adoption. If each person had to pay for each of their abortions, they might consider having their baby and put him or her up for adoption. Help us by calling your MPP and lobby for defunding abortion.
PRO-LIFE SUNDAY This Sunday you will the Youth of the parish handing out pamphlets to educate each of us about the abortion issue. Many young women are unaware of the alternatives available to them. Our Lindsay Crisis Pregnancy Centre is doing a lot to help counsel these women and men about keeping their baby or thinking about adoption as a way to give their baby a great chance at a good life with a loving family.
PRAYER FOR REVERENCE FOR LIFE Almighty God, giver of all that is good, we thank you for the precious gift of human life: for life in the womb, coming from Your creative power, for the life of children, making us glad with their freshness and promise, for the life of young people, hoping for a better world, for the life of the elderly, witnessing to the ageless values of patience and wisdom. Like Blessed Mary, may we always say “YES” to Your gift. May we defend it and promote it from the conception to its natural end. And bring us at last, O Father, to the fullness of eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
