Are you able to help with our Quilt Project? To celebrate the upcoming 100th Anniversary of the Catholic Women’s League, Councils from across Canada will be making quilts for local Palliative Care Organizations. If you would like to help with our quilt contact Anne at 705-324-7039. We are meeting on Wednesday January 25, anytime after 10 am for those who want to help. (Bring a lunch) It is an easy pattern and fun to do.

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL) is organizing again this year a time of Eucharistic Adoration called: “12 hours for the Lord” planned to take place throughout Canada on Thursday May 4, 2017. In conjunction with this initiative, the CWL wishes to distribute the attached petition addressed to the Parliament of Canada requesting that hospice palliative care be included as a defined medical service covered under the Canada Health Act. The Most Reverend William Terrence McGrattan, the National Spiritual Advisor to the CWL, is requesting that Bishops consider distributing the attached petition, in French and English, to their parishes and encouraging priests to engage with their local CWL chapter to help coordinate the implementation of the Eucharistic Adoration alongside the distribution and signing of the palliative care petition by the Catholic faithful .
