Saint Mark

SAINT MARK

St. Mark was born in Cyrene, Libya but his date of birth is unknown.

He travelled with St. Barnabas and St. Paul on many religious missions during which he founded the Church of Alexandria.

St. Mark was one of Christ’s 70 disciples, one of the four evangelists and the traditional author of the Second Gospel – The Book of Mark.
He died circa April 25, 68 AD in Alexandria, Egypt.

His relics are in Venice, Italy

St. Mark’s Feast Day is celebrated on April 25.
