Luncheon & Fashion Show a Success

The “Restoration Today for Tomorrow” campaign is $3,000 healthier thanks to the success of the Luncheon & Fashion Show held on June 21st.

The organizing committee would like to extend a huge thank you to the Knights of Columbus, the ladies of the CWL, the Catholic Youth Group & Karen Brasier whose collective hard work & support contributed greatly to the luncheon. They certainly insured that it ran both smoothly & efficiently.

Donations by Jane’s Kountry Kitchen & Bobcaygeon Bun Company greatly helped to reduce costs resulting in increased profits for the church.

The volunteers who modelled the fashions provided by Brittany & Bros and Hamilton Creek, accessorized with Lia Sophia Jewelry, added a spirit of fun & frivolity to the afternoon.

Father Tom’s white fedora and Father Theo’s bright blue & yellow ensemble were unexpected additions to the fashion show. Pat Clarke was nothing short of brilliant in her role as MC, as she described the fashions worn by the models with flair & excitement.

Music programmed by Don Oates and played through Ron Everson’s professional sound system added to the ambience of the afternoon.

Thanks are also extended to Father Tom, Father Bill and Father Theo for allowing a dozen or more ladies to take over their kitchen while more than 100 guests gathered on their rectory lawn in the afternoon sunshine.

Finally, special thanks to everyone who purchased tickets, prayed for good weather and prayed for success. Your prayers were answered on all counts.
