THE HAITI RELIEF COLLECTION
This Sunday 24th January 2010, there will be a second collection throughout our diocese of Peterborough and Canada to assist Haiti.
In association with the Canadian Catholic Conference of Bishops the funds will be sent through the Catholic organization for Development and Peace in conjunction with the international Catholic group, Caritas.
100% of these donations will be sent and are not subject to the regular 5% withholding tax and they will be assisted by a $15,000 donation from our diocesan charity fund which is itself funded by the 10% of moneys retained form the Lent collection for purposes such as this.
Everyone is encouraged to help our suffering brothers and sisters in Haiti.
